Our team completed the construction of a 6-story parking garage in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware. This project, consisting of 596 precast pieces, is a significant component of a broader renovation effort to modernize JP Morgan Chase’s facilities. The new parking garage will serve the employees of the existing 22-floor office building, providing a secure and convenient parking solution in the bustling downtown area. We focused on quality and safety throughout the project, ensuring that the structure met and exceeded industry standards. The garage’s completion marks a key milestone in the ongoing transformation of JP Morgan Chase’s Wilmington location, reflecting our ability to deliver large-scale projects with precision and efficiency.
Constructing the JP Morgan Chase Parking Garage in downtown Wilmington presented a unique set of challenges, particularly due to the site’s urban location. The delivery of oversized loads required careful coordination with local police to navigate the busy streets safely. Additionally, the construction footprint was more constrained than typical garage sites, necessitating an innovative approach to the erection sequence. It was crucial to carefully control the crane’s rotation to prevent damage to nearby trees and the newly constructed parts of the garage. Upon completing the erection, the removal of the crane from the limited space was a complex operation that required extensive coordination among our team, Wohlsen Construction, and Sautter Crane Rental. Despite these obstacles, we demonstrated our resilience by successfully completing the project on time, underscoring our commitment to meticulous planning and collaboration in challenging environments.
