The Hillsdale Parking Garage is a 406-piece total precast concrete parking structure located in Hillsdale, New Jersey.
The structure was fabricated by Nitterhouse Concrete Products and erected by Precast Services, Inc. in close coordination with the general contractor, BNE Development/Construction.
This project served as a key component of a larger mixed-use development. The precast parking garage was constructed first and functions as the structural core of the development, with residential apartment buildings designed to be constructed around and “wrap” the garage following completion of the precast erection.
Because of the role the structure plays within the larger development, careful coordination and sequencing were essential during the erection process.
As the structural core of a mixed-use development, the Hillsdale Parking Garage required careful sequencing, tight coordination, and strict safety compliance to successfully install all 406 precast components, supporting the future integration of surrounding residential construction.
